Within the chaos of the past several months, I was stirred by the realities of the Coronavirus pandemic. At the same time, I also had some space to reflect on the other issues that are important to me and realized that this seems to be a time of many crises. Whether it’s a global pandemic, the environmental crisis, or police brutality and systemic racism, we seem to be at very critical points in history. These songs are what came from my reflections and emotions in response to the many crises we’re all facing now.
